The Walking Dead Interview | Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene).

Have you been watching Season 4 of The Walking Dead? I certainly have. What about The Talking Dead? Have you set your DVR so you don’t miss anything?

Click the link above and you can read a Q&A with Lauren Cohan. She brings her dog to the set and she tells an interesting story about him.

The newest issue of The Walking Dead Magazine is out and I have to say it’s all about the walking dead (fans, video games, comic books, etc.). On page 11 of the Nov/Dec 2013 issue are results from its Season 3 Readers’ Poll and it yielded some very interesting results:

The fans favorite moment was Daryl and Merle arguing (36%) in the “Home” episode followed by Daryl killing his brother (28%) in “This Sorrowful Life.” Michonne discovering Penny in “Made to Suffer” came in third with 20%.

The Biggest Surprise/Shock category was the death of Andrea in “Welcome to the Tombs” with 41%; the Death of Lori (“Killer Within”) with 12%; and, Carl shooting Jody in “Welcome to the Tombs” with 8%.

Who’s  your favorite character? For 30% of TWDM Readers its Daryl; 25% like Rick; 15% like Andrea; 10% like Michonne.

What about your favorite episode? Here’s how TWDM‘s poll results turned out: Clear – 46%; Killer Within – 24%; Welcome to the Tombs – 15%; This Sorrowful Life – 5%; Prey – 5% and Other – 5%.

Morrissey rules as The Governor in Walking Dead

Morrissey rules as The Governor in Walking Dead – Road Runner.

Here’s an intimate interview with David Morrisey, The Governor from The Walking Dead. There’s quite a bit of past work listed as well.

If you listen carefully, you can almost here that wonderful English accent.

The Walking Dead Marathon is happening now, continues through the night and picks up tomorrow with Season 3.

The Walking Dead – New to Show and a Chip Dip Recipe!

The Walking Dead – New to Show – AMC.

It’s Friday, Dec. 21 and I have four days off in a row. Imagine, I don’t have to get up with the alarm clock for four days.

And then it’s back to work and then more days off! Plus I always take a vacation day after a Holiday which means I’ll be off on the 2nd of January which leads me to why I’m writing this post.

Starting on Dec. 31 and continuing through Jan. 1, AMC will be running all episodes of The Walking Dead. A perfect opportunity for you to get caught up with everything before new episodes return on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 9pm/8pm CT.

Lori Acken from our office interviewed Steven Yeun (who plays Glenn Rhee) this week and asked me for questions. I was honored.

One of the questions I gave her to ask him was if he had any recipes to recommend in case someone was planning a New Years Eve/Walking Dead Marathon party. I’m not sure if she asked him that, hence, not sure if he recommended any recipes, but I’ve got a helluva cream cheese and olive chip dip recipe that’s been in our family going on 50 years or more, if you want that.

The link I have for you is perfect if you’re New to the Show … because that’s exactly what the link is! Have fun … oh and if you want that chip dip recipe, leave me a comment with your email address and I’ll send it right along.

Q&A – Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) – The Walking Dead – AMC

Q&A – Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) – The Walking Dead – AMC.

If you view the video that’s embedded in this link, please note that it is definitely Rated 17+. Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) talks about how great it is that he gets to handle and shoot guns in The Walking Dead (he’s from England and England does not allow firearms of any kind). He also makes a crude comment about Jon Bernthal and his onscreen wife (Sarah Wayne Callies).

For a Rated 17+ laugh, make sure you click the “Related articles” link below and check out the collider.com tally of killed zombies and the more than cool graphic.

Viewer’s Voice Awards – The Viewer’s Spoke

In the August, 2012 Channel Guide Magazine announced some new Annual Awards that recognize the Best and Worst on cable TV. These Awards are decided by the Viewers and will be known as The Viewers Voice Awards.

Each year Channel Guide sends out a Reader Survey and the nominations on favorite shows and networks plus a few categories from the magazine staff were all compiled to create the categories of these new annual awards.

The official ballot was sent out in the August 2012 issue of Channel Guide Magazine.

Here are the winners:

USA Today Dubs TWD Essential Viewing; Andrew Lincoln Is TVLine Performer of the Week – The Walking Dead – AMC

Wow! is about all I could say once I read this article.

If you’re not watching The Walking Dead yet, why not? Just take a look at the list of “Tags” I put in for this post and that should give you an idea of how many media outlets have been commenting POSITIVELY on The Walking Dead. Just one of their episodes turns in millions of viewers, the kind of numbers some series would be happy to have for an entire season.

Here are two teasers from the article above:
Adweek‘s short list of the hottest media properties includes The Walking Dead in the “Best reason to watch TV now,” “Biggest social butterfly” and “Show that keeps you on the edge of your seat” categories.

TV by the Numbers reports that last week’s episode was the highest-rated cable show on Sunday, recording a rating of 5.6 in the 18-49 demographic, up from from 4.9 last week.

Walking Dead Marathon on AMC Now! Sat. 10/13

And It’s NOT on DISH!

It’s cold, cloudy and rainy in Milwaukee right now. The perfect day for staying indoors, doing your wash, some Halloween crafting, cooking a pot of homemade chili*, and taking care of your chiweeni^ who just cost you $1200+ at the vet.

Go now to your television and turn on AMC and watch the Walking Dead Marathon from the beginning of Season 1. Rick just made it to Atlanta and met the survivors in the department store.

Of course if you have DISH, you’re shit out of luck! (Oops, can I say that on my blog.)

The last time I stayed indoors on this kind of crappy weather day was when I got caught up on the last 7 episodes just before the final 2 episodes of Season 2. When I finally stepped outside to walk the dog, it was almost like I stepped into a zombie apocalypse.

This time around I’m all set with my Walking Dead Handbook, aka the official The Walking Dead Survivor’s Guide.

I even read it from cover to cover and studied it religiously so I at least know a little bit of pedigree about the major players.

Now understand, the television series doesn’t follow the published comic books to the letter, but the survivor’s guide has every player in it, and some that aren’t playing.

I found mine at Amazon.com.

And now for the footnotes:

*I won 3rd place at Steny’s New Year’s Eve chili contest several years ago and won first place in our chili cookoff at work.

^ A chiweenie is a mix of chihuahua and dachshund.

+ That’s just saying it cost me more than $1,200. My dog needs to get a job.
